Father’s Day – Multiplied Through Love

I just wanted to reflect on Father’s Day in light of the day tomorrow.  How thankful I am for fathers.

I am so thankful for a father that believed in my brothers, sisters and I  (all 6 of us).  When we young and in school he would encourage us to ask questions.  He even offered to pay us money if we would ask questions.  He would often encourage us and tell us that we could be or do anything we wanted to do & set our minds to.  All of us have gone on to be successful in different walks of life.   We do have a brother & sister that have gone on to heaven ahead of us.  When you look at each one of us we become our father multiplied.

Then there is my husband, business partner and father of our children.   He almost didn’t become a father.   We made a decision in life when most of our peers children were getting married & close to becoming grandparents.  We decided to adopt.  We adopted 2 beautiful children from Ukraine in November of 2001, just after 9-11.  Needless to say they changed our lives.  The reason he had not wanted to be a father was because he did not want to be like his father and he was afraid he would be like him.   Nothing could have been further from the truth.   He is a wonderful father & would do anything for his children.    Again he is being multiplied because of his love.

I am truly thankful for fathers who are multiplying themselves through love.

Some father’s day quotes:

“My father didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it. ”   Clarence B. Kelland

“My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me. ”
